Reserve Chardonnay

TarraWarra Estate Reserve Chardonnay is sourced from the estate's original 1983 plantings. The now heritage blocks B and G have a north-west aspect with deep soils and a cool microclimate.

The fruit from each block is kept separate during fermentation. After whole bunch pressing, the juice is racked directly to barrel. The wine naturally ferments over 14 days. There is no malolactic fermentation.

Following 10 months in 25% new French oak barriques, the selections are made for the Reserve blend. The wine is crossflow filtered without fining before bottling onsite.

Bright straw, TarraWarra Estate Reserve Chardonnay is a pure, almost minimalist wine with great length. It is the finest expression of TarraWarra Chardonnay. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
